Happy 7 Month Birthday Gracie

Wow, it's official, we have passed the half way mark to one year! Someone make it stop! I NEVER thought I'd actually want her to slow down, but I do now. She is so fun! We have been having a great time together. Deciding to stay home with her was the best decision ever, and I realize it more and more every day.

We have had a lot of firsts over the past month. A few worth mentioning:
  • First time swimming. A hit of course! Our last lesson is Wednesday and we end with going down this giant curley water slide with the babies. This should be interesting
  • First time sitting like a big girl in the shopping car. A hit with Grace but makes shopping twice as long. Now she stares at EVERYONE around and smiles at them. Basically baby body language for "come over and talk to me". She loves people and they love coming and talking to her. It was adorable the first few times and I was thinking, "I have the cutest baby ever.". Now, I still think she is the cutest ever but alright already! Let's not take any longer in Winco than possible.
  • First time trying green beans. She was indifferent but cleaned her entire plate.
  • First time drinking on her own out of a sippy cup. I'm not sure if this is more fun or just a way of actually providing herself with nutrition. Who cares, she enjoys it, is quiet and can be left alone in the highchaire with a toy and a sippy cup and be happy for 15 minutes.
  • First time sleeping unswaddled. Yippee!
  • First time putting herself to sleep (happily) in her crib. Even better! She does this every nap now and it makes nap time so much more enjoyable and less of a struggle.

So happy in her "I love my Auntie" jammies.
