Week 30

I can't believe my # of weeks pregnant now begins with a '3'. I have actually started "counting down" now, which totally freaks me out because I still feel like I have so many things to do before Baby Gore arrives. I really need to just spend a day making a to-do list and getting these thoughts organized.

BG is doing really well. She's now about 16 inches long and weighs about 3 pounds. For those of you wondering, that is exactly how much weight I have gained throughout the pregnancy so far :-) I know, I'm in incredible shape - yeah, right! She is still quite active, although we did have a little scare last week and went into the hospital for a non-stress test because she decided to be quiet for a few days. Aaron and I were both a little freaked out by the whole thing. Wouldn't you know, as soon as I got to the hospital and they hooked me up to the machine to monitor her heart rate and movement, she started kicking like crazy. The nurse told me it's just the babies way of letting us know she is in charge. Great, my mom's wish just came true....a kid just like me!

My belly is growing like crazy and really starting to get in the way. A pedicure went from a luxury to a necessity this week. It's so hard to reach my feet! I can't wait for it to finally warm up so I can wear flip-flops that I can just slide my feet into. Aaron and I discovered that my belly does come in handy. Here's a picture of me being a coaster. For those of you wondering, it was actually his beer. We thought the beer made a funnier picture than the water I was actually drinking.

Aaron and I were so busy this weekend. First off, he surprised me with a mother-to-be gift on mother's day. A spa gift card! Ahhh, the gift that keeps on giving. He's such a great guy! We also got busy on the babies room and I'm proud to say it is almost done. We now have the molding and trim up and all of the furniture arranged. I have more decorating to do, but the main things are done. Oh, I really need to make that to-do list so I can mark something off! Here are a few pictures.

I found the cutest window valance on sale at Pottery Barn too. It's just hanging over the crib now because I still need to buy a curtain rod - note to self, add that to the to-do list. I think it really ties the room together and makes it very 'garden-esque' what do you think?

And finally, here is the 30 week belly shot. Nothing fancy this week. Marcie was back in Roseburg, so the duties fell to my resident photographer - Aaron.

Jamie, I swear you look like you've only gained a few pounds in this whole 30 weeks. You look fabulous. I still stand by the statement that from behind people probably can't tell you're expecting!

I love her room! It looks so cozy and sweet. She's going to look perfect in there.

Love ya!

Jon! I was wondering if you were still reading my blog. Thought you'd like the picture. Classic! I think it should be the pic on the cover of our future book. Maybe we could also have a pic of my baby in a crib with lead base paint :-)
