A visit from Pop-Pop, MeeMa and Eatie

Wow, I can't believe the last time I posted was around Halloween! I won't even bother to offer excuses. Frankly, I was feeling anti-blog for a while. I was also feeling anti-laundry, anti-cleaning, anti-grocery shopping and anything else that seemed to suck up even the slightest ounce of free time. But, I need to get back on the wagon...that is IF I have any readers left. If you stop by, please let me know!

Our latest venture at the Gore house was a visit from Pop-Pop, MeeMa and Eatie. AKA my mom, dad and sister. Grace LOVES this trio! She can't get enough of my parents and Marcie. After all, they constantly entertain her, clap when she does anything, take her to the duck pond and park, and play w/ her constantly. It's like they have nothing better to do! Oh, wait, they don't. This is the purpose of their visit. Sometimes they even acknowledge me as they walk thru the front door on the way to pick up Grace :-)

We loved having them up, but no one loved it as much as Grace. She asks about them constantly. They did all sorts of fun things during their visit....the most exciting for me was being ALONE in our house with out a child! This is the first time that both Aaron and I were alone in the house in over 19 months. It was AMAZING! Aaron mowed the lawn and I bakes scones....it was the most relaxing morning. Who would have thought THAT is what we'd do w/ our free time? We also got out the evening before for a date. Ahhh the life!

Grace was with MeeMa and company at the duck pond all morning. This is her absolute favorite outing. I love it too, because it's close and FREE :-)


She and Eatie (Auntie) played outside with her ball. Very exciting stuff! Note how bundled Grace is compared to Marcie. I guess Marcie wanted to make sure Grace didn't get cold.
