Heartburn is the Devil!

You think I would learn that slathering Tapatio Hot Sauce on my lunch is not a good idea. I swear that bottle just calls to me... "Senora, try me. I'm delish! I would be the perfect condiment-o for your lunch-o." And like a total sucker, every time I fall for it. Oh, spicy, delish Tapatio hot sauce. You are the devil!

So, yesterday was no different. I slathered that stuff on my chicken quesadilla like there was no tomorrow. It sounded so good at the time...and it was good! Needless to say, by about 3pm I had completely changed my mind about that decision. I had the worse heartburn all evening. It was so bad, I didn't even want to eat my dinner. Instead, I decided to go for my 'heartburn standby meal' - which is cereal. Wouldn't you know, I was out of my beloved Cinnamon Toast Crunch! Oh the tragedy! I had to settle for Kashi instead, which is not as good because it does not double as a dinner/dessert meal like my Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

The cereal didn't even help and I was miserable all night. Oh, heartburn caused by Tapatio...you are the devil!

Jon! You're reading my blog! I agree w/ Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I mean, who can argue with a food that doubles as both breakfast and dessert? (or in my case dinner and dessert)

Dena,
Good for you! You should also add phrases like "me and him are going to go..." to the list of naughty words. :-)
