One thing I have found very interesting since I've been pregnant is the fact that the beginning of my week officially starts on a Wednesday now. Which means, Mondays are much easier to face :) Every Tuesday evening I get excited about BG turning one week older...and one week closer to find out if we well be buying a lot of blue or pink stuff. Only 3 more weeks until we find out!!! I also get excited about Wednesdays because it means I get to read another chapter in my baby books - Yes, that's book-s plural. I think I have about 8 of them by now and am reading all of them at the same time.
At this point, Baby Gore is about 5 inches long. My book told me s/he weights about as much as a turnip. That basically meant nothing to me. I don't even know the last time I held a turnip to see how much it weighed. In fact, I don't even know the last time I saw a turnip. Apparently the turnip comparison was supposed to help me understand just how much 5 oz weighs, since that's how much BG weighs this week. One book also said BG's sense of hearing is also developing, which means I'll have an audience when I sing in a car. Poor child, I would hate it if the first thing BG hears is the sound of my voice trying to belt out a song on the radio!
Here are a few new pictures of week 17. It is funny to see how much more 'pregnant' I look from different angles. In fact, Aaron and I both think I actually look less pregnant from the side view and more pregnant if I turn to face the camera a little. What do you think? These were taken one day apart.

Overall, I'm feeling really good. I do feel quite "stretched" though. Not quite the best feeling but nothing really surprising. I managed to wear a pair of pre-pregnancy pants to work today, so I was thrilled about that. In fact, I was even able to keep them buttoned after lunch! A major accomplishment :) I'm trying not to wear my 2 pair of maternity pants all the time. I don't want them to wear out there welcome, since I'll be living in them for the next few months. That's all for now!

waving hi to momma and baby!!

you look great jamie! congrats on the pre-pregnancy pants... even though it's a tight fit, it still feels good to know you can wear them!
Both views you barely look prego!! Oh, and you are going to be SO sick of your maternity clothes when you are done...the sad thing is that you end up having to wear them even after you've given birth (at least I did!).
